Physical Health

Physical Health
My body, my legs and arms and my waist.
P.E. helps improve my physical well being by pumping my blood, makes my heart stronger, makes my mind stronger, makes my muscles (Big Muscles) and calves strong. This makes me healthy.

I played rugby and I got a runaway and my legs got tired but I pushed myself to the try line and I dived. When I do P.E. it helps making my leg muscles stronger and more faster which being faster makes you fit and have physical health .
My Goal is... to try my hardest in life and try to get more fitter by running and doing more exercises which can help my muscles including Calves, Arms, and my bones to grow hard and strong
Reflect!... being physical active is really good for your bones and heart because for a saying you could be running when you can hear your heart pumping really fast it means your blood is pumping and pumping in your heart which is good for you physical health could be walking and metro jogging

Climate Change -

Aim: To look at the causes of climate change and how to prevent it.

As you watch the video answer these questions:

What is our greatest threat in thousands of years?

How do we see climate change affecting the globe?
  1.  What is our greatest threat in thousands of years? - fossil fuel turning into oil
  2.   Sea levels rising from higher than they were
  3.  People dieing from bad chemicals in the air

What is needed to change history - Stop putting our sea animals in harm and look after our world better than we are

Is climate change a man made disaster? - Yes because were the ones that can stop it but aren't stopping it

Dramatic action must be made in the next __ years to change it? -  Stop littering and treat the animals and sea life write

Why is our climate changing? - cause we aren't doing anything about it

What is causing the warming trend of the climate? - the magnetic stretch  off the sun

What is the main problem?

What are examples of these?

Burning fossil fuels releases what gas?

How much hotter now is our world?

What do we call this global warming?

How is this affecting creatures / animals like bats?

What percentage of species are near exteinction?

How could this effect the world ecosystems?

What global change was seen and recording breaking last year?

How is climate change affecting our weather systems?

1. Our product range includes , Wood Stoves, Wood Fired Central Heating, Solid Fuel Cookers, Coal Ranges, Ever hot Electric Range, and the very popular Hunter Stove Range. ... All Classic Cookers products are environmentally friendly with the majority requiring only wood which is sustainable and renewable.

My Own Way Of Saying it: We can use Wood stoves and fired wood some are sustainable and renewable

2. Formed by heat and pressure over hundreds of thousands of years, oil is an energy-rich fossil fuel that impacts nearly every aspect of modern life. Crude oil can be refined into any number of plastics and petroleum products, or turned into liquid fuels like gasoline and diesel.

What is another ettect of climate change?

What will happen if the ice melts in Antarctica and the Arctic?

How does this affect people?

What other things affect oceans change?

What does to much heat do to coral?

Why did some industries not want to stop burning fossil fuels?

Investigation

You can decide on how you would like to do this investigation. Your presentation could be on the blog, slides, or power point.

Investigate the different Fossil Fuels listed?

  1. Coal - Our product range includes Wood Range Cookers, Wood Stoves, Wood Fired Central Heating, Solid Fuel Cookers, Coal Ranges, Ever hot Electric Range, and the very popular Hunter Stove Range. ... All Classic Cookers products are environmentally friendly with the majority requiring only wood which is sustainable and renewable.

Ice Melting In The Antarctic
In the antarctic the ice is melting which means our sea level will rise which will cause major floods. The Polar bears habitats are going melt Scientists point out that sea levels have risen and fallen substantially over Earth's 4.6-billion-year history.
But the recent rate of global sea level rise has departed from the average rate of the past two to three thousand years and is rising more rapidly about one tenth of an inch a year.
A continuation or acceleration of that trend has the potential to cause striking changes in the world's coastlines.

Ice Melting In The Greenland
In talking about the melting in Greenland, glaciologists sometimes like to describe the relationship between rising temperatures and diminishing ice with mock simplicity: “When it gets hotter,” they say, “ice melts.” And yet the surface of the ice sheet.
has turned out to be far more complex than it once appeared. In recent years, studies have observed that melt water from the ice sheet doesn’t necessarily run off Greenland into the oceans; occasionally it stays in the furn, trapped like water in a huge sponge.
In 2013, a team of scientists even discovered an aquifer under the snow in east Greenland, containing extraordinary reserves of water that covered an area the size of West Virginia. Conceivably, the water could be released quickly, in a flooding gush, in the near future.

This is How much our sea level has raised

Today, sea level is 5 to 8 inches (13-20 centimetres) higher on average than it was in 1900. That's a pretty big change: for the previous 2,000 years, sea level hadn't changed much at all. The rate of sea level rise has also increased over time.

When the Polar bears habitats melt the sea level will rise higher than it is

Climate Change - Ice ages

Ice ages are Prominent Ice ages are prominent examples. Climate change is any significant long - term change in the expected patterns of average weather of a region or the whole Earth over a significant period of time.

Climate change is about abnormal variations to the climate, and the effects of these variations on other parts of the Earth. examples. Climate change is any significant long -

Ideas for displays for Matariki
We had two ideas for a display for Matariki. First idea is we can make a painting showing the seven stars of Matariki.

Another idea is that we can make big stars made out of cardboard and it can represent the seven stars and we could paint or draw maori design that represent what the stars do

Waiti And Waita

Waitī and Waitā are Matariki’s twins. Papatūānuku knew that they would be able to care for the smallest and fastest of creatures – because they too know about being a team.

When we see these two stars in the sky, we are encouraged to join in and support each other.

My favourite lake is lake Roto Kohatu
