ANZAC



For the last two weeks we have been learning about ANZAC day and why we remember the people who risk their lives for our country  and for our freedom.The first world war was in 1914 then ended in 1918


we read about the Maori battalions Mascots and other stuff.We had a very special visitor who brought in a soldiers penny it was really cool and really
fascinating some country's in the world war where I think Russians,Samoans,Australians And "NEW" Zealanders.This is some of the activities


Drawing and the other task was dog tags,all the world war
guns.There is a tiger on the penny and under the tiger Is another tiger eating an eagle and That represents america  and new Zealand winning The world war one
We watch videos and maps the videos were about how they fight started with Connie's nana that came in to talk about her uncle

  1. Nate a great slide show sharing your learning. I learnt about the penny, I had to look very carefully to see the cat eating the eagle! I also enjoyed the information about dog tags. I wonder if you know why they wore dog tags? Great photo of you at the ANZAC day service, how did you feel? I always get goose bumps when they play the last post.
