Music - Week 8

I learnt words are one of the most important parts of our lives. they are a major way we connect with each other. we speak, write, read, text, watch television and listen to music almost constantly. without words, we would lose a major source of connection. we might even find it hard to live without them.

Words are a pretty big deal, and that is what lyrics are. Lyrics are the words to a song. They are written in a specific way for specific reasons. One word is not the same as another, and not just any word will do

Science - Crystals

Separating a Mixture using Evaporation:

Aim: To See separate the liquid and the solid
Hypothesis: i thought nothing would happen because the glass would have broke

Equipment: Copper sulphate solution, 250mL Beaker, heat proof mat, evaporating basin, element.
Method:
  1. Set up element
  2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.
  3. Add copper sulphate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.
  4. Carefully, place the the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.
  5. Turn on the element to 8
  6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming.
  7. Turn off the element- careful not to touch as will be hot for a long time.

Observations: I seen as it heated up i seen evaporation and bubbles
Conclusion: my hypothesis wasn't right because the glass didn't break and the water bubbled and went down
Discussion: the water went down and bubbled because of the evaporation of the copper sulphate

Evaluation: I really like the experiment because of its bubbles which made it look cool
