Health - Wellbeing

Spiritual well being means the ability to experience and integrate meaning and purpose in life, others art, music, literature, nature, or a power greater than oneself.

Spiritual health includes a purposeful life, and four of different dimensions of The human beings.

Spiritual health creates a balance between physical, psychological and social aspects of human life.

For a Saying Your dad tells you do your best go hard bro and try your best
We go and visit my granddads grave, because we miss him and we want him to know we still have him with us and we will see him again one day. This makes me feel good because I’ve gone to see him and I feel close to him at these times. I know he looks over me.

P.E. helps my spiritual well being by giving me the chance to do my best, push myself, make sure I give things a go. It would make my granddad proud if I was doing my best.

Soluble Experiment

In Science, whenever we do an experiment we will blog it. The way that we blog an experiment is in the form of a scientific report.
Aim: To Investigate the solubility of baking soda (Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate) and table salt (Sodium Chloride to see which is the most soluble in water.

Hypothesis: I think the baking soda will dissolves before salt because its a powder which will dissolves faster

Method: 1. Fill The beaker with 100ml of tap water

                        2. add a level teaspoon of baking soda. A level teaspoon is                                obtained by running your ruler across the edges of the                                      teaspoon.)

                        3. Stir the solution until all of the baking soda has dissolved

                        4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until no more baking soda will                                      dissolve into the solution

                        5. Record how many teaspoons of baking soda were added

                        6. Repeat the experiment, with the table salt.

Results: One Giant Teaspoon

Discussion: What do your results mean? Explain your results.
Conclusion: Did your experiment work? Was your hypothesis correct?

Making a Copper Sulfate Salt

Aim:
To produce copper sulfate salt by reacting copper oxide with an acid

Hypothesis:
I believe that we are going to make a black crystal today.

Method:
  1. Add 20mL of sulfuric acid to a 100mL beaker. Heat to 70degrees. Turn off your bunsen.
  2. Once heated, use a spatula to add pea sized portions of copper oxide. Stir for 30secs
  3. Repeat step 2 until no more dissolved.
  4. Fold filter paper and place in funnel. Place the funnel in the second beaker.
  5. Make sure your first beaker is cool enough to hold and then pour it into the funnel. Gently swirl and allow to filter through.
  6. Rinse the beaker and fill with 50mL of water and place on tripod.
  7. Place evaporating basin on top of beaker and pour some solution in.
  8. Gently heat until the solution has reduced by half.
  9. Take off heat and allow to cool.
Results: The Salt Dissolved faster than the baking soda because baking soda is a harder substance

We then placed that solution in an evaporating basin
After reducing it by half we left it overnight.
The next day there were little blue crystals formed in the basin and no more solvent.

Discussion:
This experiment involved dissolving a solute (copper oxide) in a solvent (acid) to create a solution. We then filtered the solution and evaporated it until we were left with the solid again, in the form of crystals.

Conclusion:
I thought it would be a black crystal but it was bright blue and needed a couple of days to form but a very successful experiment!

Physical. Education

In PE We Going To Do High Jump And How To Throw A Discus, Were Going To Be Learning How To Do Fosbury   Flop

The first Thing we did was Discus on the field and once we made it back we went in to the old gym to do high jump today I actually Like PE because I got to do it at my own level

I learned how to do the Fosbury Flop
